Kia ora and welcome to our newest PASS Leaders, Sam, Sasha, Nancy, Katie, Lesley, Michael, Vivian and Ajay from Electrical Engineering and Applied Technology and Construction (and all existing PASS Leaders who might need to know)
Once you know from your School that you are going to facilitate the standard voluntary PASS sessions in semester one, you need to:
* Make sure your PASS Leader employment contract is complete and your Unitec staff email address has been activated - check with your School's administrator ie. Angela Hunt (ahunt@unitec.ac.nz) or Trudy Vinkenvleugel (tvinkenvleugel@unitec.ac.nz)
* Email Lisa Simperingham (lsimperingham@unitec.ac.nz) to issue you a staff Zoom account - Lisa is an Academic Advisor to staff in Te Puna Ako and I will let her know in advance your names and she is expecting to hear from those who need them.
Once Lisa has given your Zoom account, for it to work, you must be logged into Unitec's Office 365 using your Unitec staff email address ie. here is mine as an example: mgrey@unitec.ac.nz . Then you log into Zoom with your staff email address.
Do not log in to Unitec's Office 365 using your student email address which is for example: mgrey@myunitec.ac.nz - your Unitec Zoom account will not work.
Just to note that if you've been assigned to do one-to-one type of PASS in-lectures or in-tutorials, your lecturer will probably have the Zoom links available and already embedded in your course Moodle page, so you don't need a Zoom account from Lisa (because you won't be running your own PASS session). You will need to ask your lecturer to enrol you as a 'Non-Editing Teacher' to access the Zoom links and uploaded learning materials.
