Producer statements were introduced by the Building Act 1991 but were omitted from the Building Act 2004. Nevertheless Auckland Council will still accept them as proof that certain work complies with the Building Code. If you are involved in applications for building consents in the Auckland region, you are recommended to refer to the document.
